Photos of the East Wing Façade torn down went viral on Monday, prompting criticism online and a white ballroom, with a boldly funded vision of pre-development from administrations from administration-in-persion to keep the executive a beacon of good American order. “

White House Press Paress Karoline Leavett put the President’s message on Tuesday in “Jesse noted the first time the first time,” saying, “I believe there is a lot of false anger right now.”

“Almost every single President who lived in this white house after me did modern things and their renovations,” Leavift added. “In fact, the presidents of the decades – in modern times – have expressed how they wish they had a large event space here in the common room in the East dining room and the Mpish dining room.

“President OBAMA cried a little there during his time, he had to eat dinner on the South Lawn and rent expensive tents.

In a statement shared Tuesday, the administration listed more than a dozen examples to “revive, expand and meet today’s needs,” from “Theodore Roosevelt’s West Wing in 1902 to the Barack Obama Garden in 2009.

Trump first confirmed the ballroom project on Monday in social media, writing: “I am happy to announce that the White House itself, the East Wing has been completely broken … and will be more beautiful than ever when it is complete!”

“For more than 150 years, every President has dreamed of getting a ballroom … I’m honored to be the first President to finally get this much-needed project – funded by the American taxpayer!” He continued, attesting to the “many generous spots, big American companies, and yours truly” for construction funding. “This ballroom will be used happily for generations to come!”

The White House RACD RECACE 47 account also shared a detailed thread on X Tuesday showing how past Presidents have “renovated, expanded, and expanded the White House to meet today’s needs.”

Trump explained on Tuesday, calling the federal government “this big for nothing.”

“We’re building a world-class ballroom,” he said. “You can almost hear the sound of construction back here. That’s music to my ears. People don’t like it. In this case, it’s a lack of money, because I’m paying for it.”

Trump also noted that the East Room, currently the largest venue, is much smaller than the “cocktail area” that holds about 88 people.

During the diwali ceremony at the White House on Tuesday night, Trump also referred to the project and his decision not to accept a salary, to avoid saying that “I probably owe a lot of money” for everything he put into the building.

“If I receive money in our country, I will do something good with it. Like give a donation, or give you a white house,” he said. “We’re restoring the White House, and we’re doing a great job. The ballroom is being built. They’ve been trying to get it for 150 years.”
