Two arrested in shooting death of San Francisco General Manager

Santa Rosa police say two people have been arrested in the death of Mark Calcagni, the General Manager of San Francisco’s famed Condor Club, a landmark that bills itself as the country’s premier bar.

Authorities have identified the suspects as Richard Lund, 43, and Asia Morton, 25, both of Dublin, California. Police said the two were involved in an adult entertainment club run by Carcagni, although it was not clear whether it was a celebrity club or another venue he was using.

Investigators say Morton helped Lund plan the killing. Lund was taken into custody Friday at an apartment in Dublin, while Marten, who police say also lives there, was arrested separately at San Francisco International Airport after returning from an international trip.

After the arrest, police executed a search warrant at the Dublin Residence and collected evidence linked to the murder.

“Although this case initially faced challenges due to limited evidence, the VCI (Criminal Investigative Investigation) continued to persevere, the following leads to the interviews of Witnesses, the observation of evidence and” the police wrote in a statement. “Their efforts eventually led to the identification of the two suspects.”

Calcagni is well known for the San Francisco night scene, The San Francisco Chronicle reportedserving as general manager of the Condor Club. In addition to managing the Condor Club, he also presided over Vanity San Francisco, another adult entertainment venue nearby.

Wolfgang Welch, who recently took over the management duties, described by Calcagni as a big place – there is a healthy and respected presence in the adult entertainment industry.

“He became one of the Mountain Rushmores,” Welch told the Trail.

The Condor Club has confirmed the death of the original FOX News Digital Manager.

“It is with great sadness and deep shock that we confirm the tragic death of our beloved Manager, Mark Calcagni,” the statement said. “Mark was more than our manager – he was the heartbeat of the Clondor Club and a close figure in the North San Francisco Nightlife Community.”

The Club said that “the dedication, the dedication, the dedication of Calcagni for many years made who we are today,” Setha, “We feel the weight of the loss not only in our organization but in the entire wider community of North Beach and San Francisco Nightlife

Police did not reveal a motive for the killing. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Condor Club did not comment on the arrest.
