Airline Postlenger Compensation Rules when flights are cancelled, delayed

FAA administrator Bryan Bedford warns that the Workerrerprer Controller Introller at the government stage is already causing serious flight delays and not as much as ways to thank.
Airline passengers are not guaranteed a guaranteed refund for certain flight disruptions.
Under the rules defined by the Ministry of Transport (dot), if the airline cancels the flight or makes a major change to the schedule, passengers are entitled to a refund if they choose not to travel under the new rules. However, if the traveler accepts a delayed or changed flight, or takes another flight offered by the airline, they are not eligible for a refund. It does not guarantee monetary compensation beyond a refund.
The rules are slightly different from the biden-era proposal, later pushed by the Trump Administration in September, that would have required airlines to provide more compensation for delays and cancellations caused by the flight. It would also establish the same refund rates for flights that arrive, from within the US

Passengers are entitled to a refund if their flight is rescheduled from a different point of origin or arrives at a different destination airport. The same applies if the new trip includes more connection points than originally planned, or if travelers are voluntarily scheduled in a lower class of service and choose not to travel.
