California Gov. Gavin Newlom in Texas on Saturday told the crowd that the Democrats around the house of representatives in 2026 is everything. “
NewsOM, 58, continued to climb to the top over the weekend, four days after the proposed California 50 – Renewal of the state map of the state in favor of the Democrats – was passed in the pit of states.
Newloom also couldn’t resist taking a jab at his arch nemesis, President Donald Trump.
“He’s a historic president, though — awkwardly,” he told a crowd in Houston. “And he had a very bad night on Tuesday.”

Along with Prop 50 in California, Democrats also won gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia as well as Democrat Zohran Mamdani who was elected by the Democratic primary.
Proposition 50 was the response of the Texas Legislature to renew their Reection map opened by Republicans in the summer, and on Tuesday after the transfer of 50 propositions, NewAbeM called on other democratic states to follow suit.
“We need to see other states, their amazing leaders who have been doing amazing things, come together at this moment and look again,” he said at a news conference late Tuesday. “We can get Facto ending the Handold Trump Cholidiecy as we know it, the minute Jeffries is sworn in as speaker of the house of representatives.”

He continued his celebration on Saturday, telling the crowd: “There were lines around the block for two hours after the vote because people wanted to hear the message.”
The governor repeated and said, “There is no race more important in our lifetime than the house of representatives, and bring back the house and find a speaker [Hakeem] Jeffries was sworn in the following November. It’s everything. It’s everything. “

He continued: “So that starts today,” he continued. “It started on Tuesday.”
The newspaper added, “We can shape the future here in Texas. We can shape the future across the South and across the United States of America.”
Trump and the GOP have led an effort to install a razor-thin House party pad to maintain control of the chamber in the 2026 midterms, when the party is in political power and losing seats. Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio drew new maps as part of the President’s push.
Trump aims to reverse what happened during his first term in the White House when Democrats took back the House majority in the 2018 election.
Although he has not announced his intentions to run for President, Newloom is widely seen as a possible frontrunner for the Democrats in the 2028 presidential election.

While two other governors of the Church of the Fight for Democracy have possible national ambitions in 2028, JB Pritzker of Illinois and Wes Moore of Maryland, Moolling new maps in their districts, Newloom has been a visible leader so far in the battles for renewables and the first democracy to succeed.
