The NFL is asking all teams to observe a moment of silence Sunday for Dallas Cowboys rookie Markawn Kneeland, who died last week, ESPN reported.
The league reportedly sent a memo to all teams Friday asking for a moment of silence, which will be followed by a message to jumbotrons who will be studying or need spiritual support, please call back 24-7 to help. “

Kneeland died early Thursday morning, just days after the first recording Info Touchdown Monday night.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Fristco Police Department later released statements confirming that Kneelnd had he was killed by a private gun the wound that follows the firing of the police in Texas.

Oject’s agent Jonathan Perzley paid tribute to the young NFL player in a lengthy statement, remembering his “spirit” and “beauty.
“I watched her fight with her child from a hopeful child Western Michigan with the dream of becoming a respected coach for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every time on the field. Losing someone with their talent, spirit, and beauty is a pain I cannot put into words. “
According to officials, DPS Tersors tried to make the traffic stop at about 10:33 PM when the driver, later found to be kneeland, refused to stop. Authorities engaged in a pursuit but eventually lost Kneeland’s vehicle, ending the chase.

His car was later found abandoned, and authorities found Kneeland dead nearby.
Frisco police, who assisted DPS in the pursuit, released a statement saying the abandoned vehicle was found by Tersoopers “minutes later” and that Kneeland is believed to have fled on foot.
Police said during the search, they learned that “Kneeland had expressed suicidal thoughts.”
Kneeland was in his second season with the Cowboys after being selected 56th overall in the 2024 nfl draft. His death came just days after he recorded the first NFL Touchdown of the game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.
