As the Trump administration moves the Gaza peace plan, history shows a mixed record for peacekeeping
Waltz said the President’s plan is “the best chance for real peace in the Middle East in a generation.”

“This process of finding peace in Gaza and the resolution of the Security Council is about bringing back the UN PLASTIC,” Waltz continued. “That’s what we’re talking about back to the basics. That government will be overseen by a new interim body called the “peace board,” led by President Trump and other members and heads of state.
That decision would have made a strategic plan of international law, said a UN source.
As for the timing, a UN source told FOX News Digital that negotiations usually take months for allied nations, but the US Mission hopes to have it done “within weeks.”
“We want to move quickly,” the source said. “The loss of fire is weak – we don’t want things to fall apart in any way, shape or form. As soon as we get this decision made, countries can soon start contributing troops to the stabilization force.”

The source said that the decision will create a mechanism, led by Jared Kushner, Middle East Secretary Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio who would ensure that “the dollars will be used in the right way in mind.”

“We’ve never seen this kind of rally in other countries after something,” Rubio said. “So we should pursue those opportunities because they are big, historic, and important.”
