The charges are related to an alleged burglary in April 2024, in which the couple reported that more than $450,000 in designer handbags and jewelry were stolen while on vacation in Jamaica.
During the Bravucon panel in Las Vegas, Osefo addressed the allegations against him in a calm, collected manner. “You know, it’s an unfortunate situation, and right now I can’t say too much, but I will when the time is right,” he said. “I’m going to share my story with everyone. And right now, they’re just sinning. So we’re going to keep moving forward.”
He also added that he sticks by his personal mantra of “chin up.”

The arrest of Wendy Osefo immediately divided the two camps: sympathizers and critics. Osefo used his platform to call out false friends while thanking his supporters.

After the panel, Ashley talked to Bossip and said that she apologized even though Wendy was not ready to accept her apology.
“I know what I said was a little thing, and Wendy may or may not accept it, but I just made myself up,” said Ashley. “He wants to continue to be upset about it, that’s his right, but my slate is clean.”
