Emirates Places Massive $38BN Order for 65 New Boeing 777-9 aircraft

Dubai’s Emirates, the world’s largest Airline, has placed a US $ 38 billion order for 65 Booing 777-9 aircraft, powered by GE 9x engines, getting the Dubai Airshow 2025 to 2025 to a happy tree.
The new orders are the largest long-term commitment for US Aerospace manufacturing, generating support for thousands of manufacturing operations critical to the life of the systems.
Emirates’ Boeing order now stands at 315 widebody aircraft, including 270 Boeing 777xs, 10 Boeing 777 Freighters, and 35 Boeing 787s.
Emirates already has 119 Boeing 777-300ers, 10 Boeing 777-200lrs, and 11 Boeing 777 Frecer In its 40-year history, Emirates has operated every model in the Boeing 777 family.
The first of the 777-9s is expected to be delivered from the second quarter of 2027.
For Ge Aerospace’s Ge9x engines, the order totals 540 units, including an additional 130 units signed today.

This is a long-term commitment and testament to our partnership with Boeing and GE, and US Aerospace.
“Each aircraft of our aircraft order has also been carefully acquired through the growth plan of Emirates, which is compatible with the characters of the growth of Dubai. There we look forward to receiving the delivery of our plan, and we look forward to studying our latest aircraft with State-of-theBoard products.”
Emirates is behind the 777-10 arrangement
Emirates has also given the thumbs up to Boeing’s extension course to upgrade the 777-10, which is different from its 777X family, when registering aircraft in stores to convert the 777-10 or 777-8.
On the 777-10s, Sheikh Ahmed said: “Emirates is open about the fact that we are willing manufacturers to build large-capacity, high-performance aircraft, especially with the expected increase in traffic at the airports.
“We fully support Boeing’s 777-10 expansion course and have options to convert our recent 777-9 order to a 777-10 or 777-8.”

After the latest order, Emirates will be waiting to take delivery of Boeing planes until 2038.
