Kidnapping is nothing new in Nigeria

According to the Associated Press, Nigeria is facing various security challenges, especially from the clear groups of armed Bandits who are famous for kidnapping the Sansoms – sometimes they put thousands of dollars. Groups they have been responsible for several high profile conveyances in the Northern region of Nigeria. Kidnapping, attacks on towns and highways have become common due to limited security. Those bandits are not connected to groups with similar soldiers Boko Haram and the splinter group Islamic State West Africa in the Province. The attacks of the second group on the communities and the installation of the government are motivated by religion.

Hundreds of students have been shocked since 2014

Armed groups have been targeting school children in the region since 2014. In the same year, the Boko Haram Group kidnapped 276 students from Chibok in Borno State. That bearing marked the beginning of a new era of fear. Most live in exile.

Since the chibok tailor, at least 1,500 students have been kidnapped. As mentioned, armed groups simply find in peace a profitable way to support other crimes and the towns controlled by the region of a rich but idiosyncratic country. In March 2024, more than 130 school children were rescued after spending more than two weeks in exile in Nigeria’s Kaduna state.
However, attacks on schools have increased in recent years as national governments have implemented security measures in hot spots, including closing schools for extended periods.
