In Ukraine, the witches of the west met to discuss the proposal for peace – nationally

The top European and Ukrainian delegations were given in Geneva on Sunday before the speech with the US secretary MARCO Rubio on President Donald Trump to end the Russian war in Ukraine.

The head of the transfer of power in Ukraine, the presidential chief of staff Andrii Yermak, wrote in social media that they held their first meeting with national security advisers from the UK, France and Germany. The Allies have been brought together in a group to review the plan, which is seen as favorable to Moscow.

“The next meeting is with the American team. We are in a very constructive situation,” said Yermak. “We continue to work together to achieve a lasting and just peace in Ukraine.”

Rubio is expected to join the speeches along with Defense Secretary Dan Driscoll and Trump’s Steve Witkoff.

Ukrainian President VolOdymyr Zesenskyy said he was waiting for the results of the talks. “A good result is necessary for all of us,” he said.

“Ukrainian and American groups, groups of our European partners – they are very humble, and I very much hope that there will be a law.

After that, Zelenskyy said that there is an understanding of the US that was considered “many elements” used for peace in Ukraine, but it did not explain much.

“There have already been brief reports from the group regarding the results of the meetings and initial discussions,” he said. “Now there is an understanding that the American proposals can take into account many things that are based on the Ukrainian point of view and are very important to the national interests of Ukraine.”

“More work continues to ensure that everything works effectively in achieving the main goal our people hope for – finally ending bloodshed and war.”

The 28-point blueprint drawn up by the US to end the four-year war has sparked alarm in Kyiv and European capitals. Zelenskyy said his country could face a tough choice between standing up for its sovereign rights and maintaining much-needed American support.

Writing on the Social Media Platform Trance Vature Social on Sunday, Trump expressed his concern that the conflict is still ongoing, and said that it has benefited from the war from the previous US administration.

“It’s a lost war for everyone, especially the millions of people who have died needlessly. Ukraine’s” leadership “showed deep gratitude for our efforts,” he said.

This proposal, which comes from the negotiations between Washington and Moscow, receives many of the needs of Russia which has been abandoned by stages in many areas, including giving up large pieces of land.

The Ukrainian leader vowed that his people would “always defend” their home.

“Ukraine must be able to defend itself,” he said. “Russia wants war and has fought war many times over the years.”

Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Saturday, Trump said the US proposal was not a “final offer.”

“I would like to come to peace. It should have happened a long time ago. The war in Ukraine and Russia should not have happened,” said Trump. “One way or another, we have to end it.”

Trump did not explain what he meant by the plan, which is not his final offering, and the White House did not respond to a request for clarification.

Rubio’s reported comments caused confusion

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tark said on Sunday that Warsaw was ready to work on the plan with European leaders, Canada and Japan, but it would be good to know who is the author of the plan and where it was created. “

Some US lawmakers said on Saturday that Rubio described the plan as a “Wish Wish” rather than a proposal from Washington.

A bipartisan group of senators told a news conference they had spoken with Rubio about the peace plan after meeting some of them while en route to Geneva. Independent Maine Sen. Angus King said Rubio told them the plan was “not an administration plan” but a list of “Russian” properties.

A spokesperson for the State Department denied their account, calling it “blatantly false.”

Rubio himself then took the unusual step of suggesting to the internet that the mistakes were wrong, even though he said he was the source of the information. The Secretary of State doubled down by asserting that Washington had a request for a proposal that surprised many from the start to be more palatable to Moscow.

In the meantime. Turkish President Cuep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he will hold a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday. He said he will talk to the Russian leader about renewing the previous agreement from July 2022 that allows Ukraine to safely send exports through the Black Sea.

The agreement remained in place until the following year, when Putin refused to extend it, saying the agreement was similar to one that promised to remove barriers to Russian exports of imports and fertilizers.

Erdogan said: “We had a rough road trying to pave the way for peace, unfortunately we were able to succeed in part. Tomorrow I will be asking Putin to visit the effort.”

Erdogan’s new publication comes just days after meeting Zelenskyy in Ankara.
