UAE and Russia Trade Ties deepen as Dubai prepares to host a business forum on December 10

Dubai will host the first UAE-Russia Business Forum on December 10, a major milestone to strengthen BIlateral economic, trade, investment and technology relations between the two countries that continue to accelerate.

The program and key participants were announced by the Russia-UAE Fourth Council, which organizes the event with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry, Roscongress Foundation and Marathon Investment Group.

The forum will be held as part of the 12th meeting of Intergia-UAE Economic Commission, Economic and Technological Cooperation, and is scheduled for December 10 in Dubai.

UAE-Russia business forum in Dubai

The relationship between the UAE and Russia has grown significantly in recent years, supported by the expansion of joint projects in all areas of manufacturing, transportation, materials, digital technology, healthcare and investment.

Cooperation has now moved traditional industries and emerging sectors that require new cooperation structures.

Russian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said: “In recent years, the UAE has become one of Russia’s most important economic partners in the Middle East.

“As for the work of the Russia-UAE Business Council, we see great opportunities to develop joint investments and launch joint projects. There we find great potential in the technical fields in both economic sectors in both countries, from logistics and trade to support first.”

Anton Kobyakov, adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, said: “Russia and the UAE are building a solid foundation for long-term cooperation that reflects the interests of both countries in the international economic system.

“We see an improvement in trade and economic indicators, expansion of investment activity, and implementation of new projects in non-utility sectors of the economy.

“Dialogue with the UAE is an important element of Russia’s wider engagement with countries around the world in the south, where it takes new centers of economic growth.

“Holding a business forum in Dubai will strengthen the practical side of bilateral cooperation and create conditions for launching new initiatives.”

Building long-term growth

The forum will bring together leading companies from Russia and the UAE, investment funds, technology start-ups and operators to discuss future cooperation. Its couteriapeap is a mass session, the creation of new opportunities for both countries, where Alexander Vinokurov, Chairman of the Russian-UAE Business Council, will present the opportunities of the council and the opening of skills for economic opening and investment.

Participants will include:

  • Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah Bin Toq Al Marri
  • Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov
  • Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnibhanov
  • CEO of the Abu Dhabi Investment Badr al-Olama office
  • CEO of Gazprom-Media holding Alexander Zharov

The forum will be opened with a panel entitled Russian-UAE Innovation Track: A New Era of Technological Cooperation. Speakers include Andrey Shket, Vice Chairman of Syolkovo Foundation; Dmitry Markov, CEO of Visionlabs; Paul Dawalibi, CEO of Innovation City; and Vyacheslav Kubaev, CEO of Magnet Tech.

This session will present the first accelerator program aimed at creating a perfect environment for the growth of Russian tech companies and startups in the UAE.

Investment Majlis

A dedicated session, the Strategic Investment Co-Revenue Forum, hosted by the Investment Majlis, will bring together institutional investors and special funds. Discussions will focus on new tools to support projects and the creation of a Russian-UAE investment platform.

The business program will conclude with a panel Russia and the UAE: create a commercial ecosystem and future goods, with a high status, vladislav bakhtenko, the head of the big trade.

The session will deal with international parcels in other countries, the development of the Logistics route, the division of trade flows and the creation of sustainable multimodal solutions.
