Wynn Al Marjan Island unveils public art collection with pieces from WYNN Resorts ahead of 2027 opening

Wynn Al Marjan Island has announced that its integrated resort, scheduled to open in spring 2027, will feature a museum-quality art collection and continents, positioning the area as a cultural tourism destination.
The collection will be displayed in all public spaces, guest areas and suites displaying art and newly commissioned works by regional and international artists. Highlights include a 66-million-year-old triceratops, illuminated as a mirror of life by British artist Marc Quinn and a 10-meter Wool-and-Silk.
Todd-Avery Lenahan, President and Chief Creative Officer of Wynn Design & Development, “Wynn Al Marjan Island, and combining the art of how to get money in a structured but creative way. We show the opposite way. We take the opposite way, moments that encourage engagement for all ages and beyond.”
World-class art at the Wynn Showcase
The collection also includes pieces from WYNN’s global portfolio, including Jeff Koons’ 11-meter tulips, previously shown at Wynn Las Vegas and the Jaiume Plensa series from Encore Boston Harbor.
Buccleuch’s rare BUCCLEUCH Quartet from Wynn Palace in Macao and Victorian Glass Console from Wynn Las Vegas will also be on display in Ras Al Khaimah.
Lenahan described a deliberate focus on cultural context, particularly through the modern reinterpretation of the East-West Artistic Archistic Artogue discussion in mid-19th Orientalism. Iconic works returning to the region include Gustave Guillauumet’s caravan in the desert and Rudolf Ernst’s entry into the temple, which will be on public display in the UAE for the first time in decades.
“There is a unique cultural heritage in this region,” Lenahan said. “Its influence on the great painters of the East and the explorers is deep. They are deeply attracted to the culture, the poetry of the people, and this kingdom; Dialogue and culture, carefully divided so that every space tells a growing story, teaches and elevates,” said Lenahan.
Art meets the art of Wynn Al Marjan
Alongside historical works, Wynn Al Marjan Island will feature contemporary regional artists, including Algerian Painter Faïza. Lenahan explained that all the pieces were sent with the purpose of their specific location, creating what he described as a “gallery” experience where it happens where the art where the art appears throughout the resort.
The 60-Hectare Resort will offer 1,217 rooms, 297 suites, two royal apartments, marina estates, beaves, ground pools, 12 pools, and a deep water marina for superyachts.
Additional features include a coral court event space, Showroom theater, more spary, and a skylit Shopping Parterre. Construction continues on schedule, with the 300-metre spire planned for November 2025.
