Nick Reiner Medically Unable To Appear In Court, Attorney Alan Jackson Says

Nick Reiner was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
But Nick’s lawyer, Alan Jackson – who previously represented Harvey Weinstein – revealed today that his client was “not medically cleared” to be taken to court.
Obviously, that can mean any number of things.
Multiple outlets have confirmed that Nick is on suicide watch, so he may not be mentally fit to stand trial.
It is also possible that he was injured in some way, during the struggle with his parents or after being arrested.
Regardless, Nick’s history of mental illness and substance abuse is well documented.
As you may have heard by now, Hollywood star Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer were found stabbed to death in their home on Sunday.
Nick has been arrested for their deaths and is currently being held without bail.

Eyewitnesses said he was poorly dressed (wearing sweats and pants at a black-tie event) and was not behaving well.
According to at least one account, Nick “took off” after a heated exchange with comedian Bill Hader.
Sources say Nick interrupted a conversation between Hader and another guest and became upset when Hader informed him that the conversation was confidential.
Witnesses said Nick also had a “big fight” with his father at O’Brien’s party.
It is not clear when exactly these incidents happened, but new reports indicate that the bodies of Rob and Michele were in critical condition when their daughter found them the next afternoon.

He remembered Nick as a “little boy” with “behavior problems” who was “always upsetting everyone” but “trying to figure it out.”
“Rob and Michelle asked me to secretly do yoga with Nicky,” hoping it would help calm her down, Zabel recalls.
“Boys are crazy in general, not just Nicky,” he explained, adding:
“I focused so much on trying to wear him down to get to that place of mental connection. But I rarely got there because he was relentless.”
The Reiners have reportedly spent millions on therapists and life support programs over the years. And another time, Nick and Rob collaborated on a semiautobiographical film – 2015’s It was Charlie – based on Nick’s struggles.
Again, we don’t know what kind of medical issues kept Nick out of court today, but we will continue to monitor the situation, and will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
