Angela Yee Shares Her Brother’s Unexpected Passing
In an emotional interview on his ‘Way Up’ radio show, Yee revealed that his older brother died suddenly at the age of 51 due to an aneurysm. According to Yee, his mother found him at his home after becoming concerned when he stopped responding to text messages—something he said was completely out of character for him.
Yee explained that, in the days before his death, his brother complained of a headache, which he tried to control with pain medication. What seemed like a normal discomfort turned into a medical emergency, prompting Yee to stress the importance of listening to your body and seeking medical attention when something is wrong.
“If you feel pain like that, and it feels unusual, it’s important to see a doctor – you never know what could happen,” he said. Angela added, “It’s not something I would have thought about either. I’ve had headaches before, and I don’t get it much, so maybe I would have done what he did.”

Afterward, Yee said the tragedy forced him to think quickly about life planning. He openly said that he had to make difficult decisions for his brother without knowing his wishes, including arrangements that they had never discussed.
