Pastor Bryant told his congregation that he had to face the shadow head on because it was heavy on him. He said it worries him that people care about his wife’s clothes more than all the positive measures, such as the $4 million collected from the United Negro College Fund. After that, he started calling out trolls who said bad things. He called them insecure and jealous for spreading misleading rumors about his Queen. “But insecure, envious, petty, narrow-minded people go into their feelings and set a false standard of holiness based on clothing,” Bryant said.
