LARRY KUDLOW: Solution by Jeanine Pirro

At the risk of hitting a fastball, or hitting completely, I want to write a short note about this Jay Powell subpoena business, hoping that calm heads will prevail, this whole issue will go away, and we can have an orderly transition to a new Fed chair as soon as possible.
Mr. Powell has done more to undermine the independence of the Fed than anyone I can think of in recent times, as I have written many times before. I don’t want to repeat the bill of goods against Powell, the horribly political Fed Chairman. But to expedite his departure, my longtime friend Jeanine Pirro, now the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, can play an important role.
No one is better than Jeanine. But as he himself was quoted, the subpoena issued to Jay Powell and the Federal Reserve, may have started prematurely the legal process he said in the Fox Digital quote “is not dangerous.”
Let me continue reading Jeanine’s statement “The word ‘lawsuit’ has come out of Mr. Powell’s mouth, no one else. None of this would have happened if they had responded to our outreach.”
Fox News contributors Kellyanne Conway and Liz Peek highlight the importance of lowering housing and health care costs in ‘Kudlow.’
The two emails were apparently sent to the Feds over the winter holidays to get information about their Taj Mahal spending, but without prompting or mentioning a criminal investigation. This was before the Fed got the subpoena. So at that point when the Feds said there was no response, one of the smartest people I know, and one of my favorite prosecutors, Jeanie Pirro, might have pulled the trigger right away. Then when all hell broke loose, he said quote “this office makes decisions based on what is appropriate, nothing more, nothing less. We agree with the Chairman of the federal reserve that no one is above the law and that is why we expect his full cooperation.”
Well, I agree with my favorite prosecutor, that decisions should be based on merit. But the rising costs in Washington DC don’t seem so good. If that is a crime, then most of the people in and around DC will be in jail. But the prisons are not big enough. Cost overruns are the currency of the country, and everyone knows it. I don’t want to forgive you; I’m telling the truth. In addition, although I cannot confirm completely, it is suspected that the office of Mrs. Pirro did not inform the main Ministry of Justice before taking this controversial step. If that’s true, it’s a no no.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich analyzes Trump’s economic and foreign policy about ‘Kudlow.’
But here’s the thing, as far as we know, no grand jury has ever been impeached. No charges have been brought against Mr. Powell or the Federal Reserve. And the President himself came up with a resounding denial when he said he knew nothing about it and denied involvement in the Fed’s DOJ subpoenas.
So, I am just saying that the forum can be prepared for a quick solution. Perhaps Ms. Pirro would call a meeting with Mr. Powell to discuss Fed rate hikes. Then close everything.
It’s not there, there. Then we can get on with the important work of appointing a new Fed chairman to check Mr. Trump’s improving economy. Trump and an independent Fed.
