How to contact TechMeme for news

How to contact TechMeme for news
Given that our points of contact have evolved over the years, I’ll provide a general update on how you’ve broken down, advised, or skillfully told us about the news. This post is organized into several scenarios, which I will list in bold.
Want to post an announcement as an FYI on techmeme: In general, when you think that a techmeme may have posted news, or you are not familiar with our posting methods, it is best to do nothing. TechMeme only posts in Roundlines about 50 times a day and any given announcement is probably worth being included. So save both of us and focus on fruitful channels rather than techmeme.
Want to post stories on techmeme that you think have a good chance we’ll want to post: If you are familiar with techmeme and expect that we will be interested in the story, you can drop a link using this online form. This form integrates into the workflow of human editors who will see the link in real time. As a bonus, the form asks for an email address, enabling us to notify you when we post a link. For the player of the (hopefully refreshing) right there, I need to emphasize that everything that is delivered is full of human editors, so any attempt to grind will fail quietly.
Want to add a social link under the stories already posted on techmeme: We often include related blog posts and social posts from LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads, and mastodon under our articles, and you are encouraged to contribute these links. Just hover over the article on our desktop page and click the “Insert link here” button that appears. (For example, see the image below.) As long as the link you send adds value in some way, we will add it, and you will receive an email confirming this if we do. Feel free to make your own links or links from your company, clients, or friends. As long as the link makes the techmeme better, it’s a win/win for you and us. (Once again, I have to suppress the odd bad character, all entries are completely posted, and spammy links will not make it to techmeme.)
You read books on fictional stories and want to let Techmeme know: Big companies often give us a heads up on big announcements, because that helps us post quickly after the embargo and plan for full coverage. Because the generated news is not public yet, there is no link to it, so you cannot submit it through our online form. So instead, you can submit the information through a special email address. To simplify the process for both companies and TechMeme, our policy is to automatically accept hacked information sent to this email address, which means we will not publish any information sent to us until it is public. So please don’t start by asking if we accept them. Yes, we accept, and have attacked emurgoes in the largest technology companies for more than a decade without incident. When sending an email, please include as much information as possible, including the embargo period, any blog posts or press releases, and details on the publication you published. Note that this e-mail address will go to the person who will log in to the limited editions of the editors. (The corner -I An alias that can descend to all editors.) Because of this we ask you to send an email 12 or more days before the embarGo time if possible.
TechMeme has posted something that is incorrect or misleading and you want to let them know: Sometimes we jump on a topic, or mention details from a story that was later edited and unknown to us. In cases like this, we definitely want to know so we can fix our title, or, we often remove or replace our title, so please use this email address to reach us. Note that you can also use this email address by sending other information or even news advice that cannot be easily conveyed by a single URL (make it difficult to use these emails, in many cases, we do not have time to respond.
As a bonus, here are a few non-structural conditions for contacting us: placing ads on techmeme, asking about our media monitoring and services, sending an email here, and working for this email address.
