Aramco operates saudi arabia’s first computer in Dhahran

Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest integrated chemical and chemical companies, has successfully installed the first computer in Saudi Arabia, and the first region dedicated to industrial applications.
The success of the Middle East Technology landscape was achieved through a partnership with PASQAL’s PASQAL, a global leader in Neutral-Atom Quantum Computing. The quantum computer was developed at Aramco’s data center in Dhahran.
Aramco said the successful deployment “marks a successful step in building regional technology and accelerating the development of quantum applications in all energy, materials, and industrial sectors in the Middle East of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East of Saudi Arabia.”
Ahmad al-Khowaiter, Aramco Evp of Technology and Innovation, commented: “Aramco is an established technology leader, which continues to innovate through the development of advanced digital solutions.
“We sent AI and other technologies to scale to improve our performance, increase the fair value in every quanturt acterouble, we pasqal the development of events, arresting the elementary opportunities presented by this new miracle in Computing.”
The included PASQAL system can control 200 Qubits arranged in plography three arrays, providing a suitable platform for testing advanced algorithms and real-world use cases corresponding to industrial operations.
As part of the partnership, PASQAL will also provide training programs and joint research opportunities for Saudi engineers and scientists, strengthening the kingdom’s environment and supporting the development of high-tech talent.
LOïc Henriet, PASQAL CENERIT, added: “This is a historic milestone for Aramco. The delivery of our powerful Quantum for the future and pasqarmark for the mid-Quantum Quantum of the future.”
Wa”ed Ventures, part of Aramco’s Venture Capital Program, initially invested in Pasqaal in January 2023, making it one of the company’s first strategic investors. Since then, the wa’ed entry has been actively supported by pasqaal’s efforts to develop its technology and operations in Saudi Arabia, enabling the company to build a strong presence in the kingdom.
PASQAL, founded in 2019, is a leading computer company that develops quantum processors from neutral atoms to 2D atoms to bring practical quantum benefits and address real-world problems. Founded in 2019 out of the Institut d’Optique by Georges-Olivier Reymond, Christome Jurczak, Dr. Thierry Lahaye, Dr. Thierry Lahaye, Pasqaal has secured more than EUPRICE (US $ 161.3mn) in funding to date.
