Historically the black colleges and universities (HBCus) have been a base stone for dark beauty, and their sports programs are not the same. Birth due to the termination time for division, where black athletes were not included in the competition in white schools in particular, HBCU sports created by young men and women to show their talent. Schools like Howard, Tutskegue, and the Morehouse laid the foundation in the early 1900s, and their parties quickly became proud and identity of their campuses and communities.
