The group stepped into their roles as social media writers and production assistants with style and professionalism, thanks to Amazon, which kindly sponsored most of their looks.
The group includes outstanding students from HBCUs, including Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, Oakwood University, Pain College, and Morehouse College, as well as graduate students and representatives of UNCF National, all supported by the guidance of Assistant Vice President Justine Norman Boyd and UNCF staff and vendors who have poured in their preparation over the past few weeks.
Stylish academics also did the Amazon Fit Check, happily showing off their looks for the big night.
After the end of the night, Mayor Andre Dickens spoke again about the evening and praised the 42nd UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball of Atlanta as a night with great energy.
“Thank you for your generosity, we have raised more than $4 million to support scholarships that will change the course of students’ lives and the future of their families,” he said on Instagram, calling the donations “a tangible investment in opportunity, access and hope.”
He added;
“Atlanta continues to show what happens when a city comes together for a purpose. I’m so grateful to all my colleagues and everyone who came out and showed our readers.”
Congratulations to Mayor Dickens and UNCF on another successful Mayor’s Masked Ball and Party!
