Dick Cheney’s death: The former vice president of the United States is gone at 84

Dick Cheney, one of the most influential political figures of the last few decades and the 46th United States opponent of the United States under President George W. Bush, has passed away at the age of 84.
The news was broken Tuesday morning by Republican insiders.
“For decades, Dick Cheney served our nation, including as White House Chief of Staff, Wyoming’s Compertman, Secretary of Defense, and Vice President of the United States,” Cheney’s family said in a statement.
According to Sky News, Cheney was surrounded by many of the same family members – including wife Lynne and daughters Liz and Mary – when he died.
It is reported that Cheney is dying of complications from pneumonia and cancer.
“Dick Cheney was a great and good man who taught his children and grandchildren to love our country, and to live lives of courage, thanks in large measure to all that Dick Cheney has done for our country,” the statement said.

Many believe that he was effective as a police officer after the presidency of Therger Bush, acting as a leading advocate of going to war with Iraq after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
He consistently defended the unusual tools of surveillance, arrest and interrogation that were used in response to these same attacks.
Many after leaving office, Cheney became a victim of President Donald Trump … especially after the criticism of Repush Cheney’s daughter to increase the defeat of the Republic and his actions on January 6, 2021 in the Capitol.
“In the nation’s 246-year history, there has never been a greater threat to our Republic than Donald Trump,” Cheney said in his daughter’s ad.
“He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters rejected him. He is a coward.”
Surprisingly, Cheney once voted for Mala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Just operations caused in Panama and Conpere Desert Storm in the Middle East. For his leadership in the Gulf War, Cheney was awarded the Bush Sr. Presidential Medal of Freedom. July 3, 1991.
On the entertainment side, Cheney’s work with the family was the subject of 2018’s Best Picture-nominated film, Starring Christian Bale as the title character.
He is survived by his beloved high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Lynne. The couple shared two daughters, Liz and Mary, and seven grandchildren.
