Democratic National Committee staffers were getting a good laugh this week after news broke that staffers weren’t too happy about recent DNC chairman Ken Martin’s only five-day-a-week tenure at the office.
The leadership of the union representing DNC employees issued a statement following the news following the new director, describing it as “lovely.” Reports from those on the Conts-Wide Call also described a quick flurry of thumbs-down emojis and other signs of anger at news of the new demand.
“It was shocking to see the DNC chair bothering with the valid concerns of workers in today’s party,” they wrote. “DNC staff worked hard to support a historic Democrat win up and down the ballot last Tuesday, and this change feels worrisome given the current economic conditions made by the economic administration.” Martin reportedly told employees that if they didn’t like the new policy, they should leave and find work elsewhere.
And Martin wasn’t the only Democrat who had some harsh words for Democratic Party workers. Neera Tanden, former policy advisor to President Joe Biden’s Advisor, had a similar message for DNC staff, suggesting that there are many people waiting in line who may be willing to enter the office.

“If you think democracy is on the line – Working in an office is not a big deal,” the post on X read. “And there are many other people who are willing to go up. Get together people.”
The left-wing party, the Center for New Freedom, expressed the view that workers “must look elsewhere” if they work from home “must be there.”
“When you accept a job in a campaign, or with an ORG like the DNC, DCCC, your sole purpose is to win an election. It’s a demanding job that requires many hours & sacrifices,” another part of this is that I suspect [work from home] Employees may be missing out on opportunities due to not being in the office. Campaigns require a lot of sacrifice, but people who are good at their job and work to make themselves seen in the office tend to go on to do great things! “
The Florida-based Florida-based Democratic System, Steve Schale, who led the effort in the state of Barack Obama in Florida in 2008 and returned to help his campaign in 2012, said that the DNC should use a “requirement” to ensure that those who really want to work.
“There should be a requirement that we work on the DNC to do at least two cycles in the actual war campaign, where goals like FLEX & FLEX ARD hours,” SCHALE WITTLE

At that time, the Republicans did not leave an opportunity to reverse the slam demom demoncers parties sterms.
“You can’t do this at the top – The DNC Union is fired that the chairman calls the staff to the office five days a week,” former Trump White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, said after reading the outrage. GOP Streatiast, Math Gorman, posted a photo of DNC staffers zooming in on their pajamas amid all the Biden chaos
“The best part is they still get two full months before they get out of bed 5 days a week,” said GOP National Press Secretary Kierren Pels. “Is this a Political Committee or a day care?”
Martin reportedly told his staff that the Work-From-Home policy the DNC is implementing during the Covid era was never meant to be permanent, it’s broken “long before it needs to be torn down. He says remote work should still be allowed on a case-by-case basis, though.”

The Staffer’s Union said it is considering all options in light of the challenge. The group had previously agreed to a collective bargaining agreement with the DNC over the summer that “affirmed its commitment to full employment of a long-term incumbent for as long as 60 days,” according to the New York Times.
At the beginning of the year, the organization of progressive workers sent a letter to the Pop House and Senate leaders proposing a 32-hour rotating work week to work for workers, arguing that they will work at the national level. “
The proposal was widely ridiculed.
“Why not be bold and ask for 0 employee hours?” rep rep. Ritchie Torres, Dn.Y., then. “I wonder how blue-collar Americans felt about white-collar workers demanding 32-hour work.”
