Dubai universities can add AI degrees to train future-ready students

Centers across Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park, both present TECOM-focused curricula aligned with the economic agenda (D33), Education Strategy 33 (E33), and the Universal Blueprint for AI.
The increase comes as 82 percent of students in the Emirate believe that technology will significantly shape their careers in the next decade, according to Dubai’s next Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Information and Human Development Authority.
AI Training in Dubai
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of International Education and Dubai Olwatiment Park, said: “Today’s education systems must provide for the next generation of students to grow.

Accelerating AI education
Universities across the two regions are deploying AI in both academic and operational settings – from undergraduate settings.
Amity University Dubai offers a BSC in computer science with a focus on AI and cybersecurity, which includes lab-based projects and electives focused on practical innovation.

Middlelex University has launched new AI and data modules in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees – including AI analytics and forecasting, cognitive marketing, and MBA: and MBA Path.
It was also the UAE University accredited by the Institute of Analytics (IOA) for its MSC technology program.

University courses
The University of Birmingham Dubai, ranked 76th worldwide in the 2026 rankings, has launched the Emirate’s first PhD in AI, addressing regional priorities such as smart cities, resilience, health care and health mobility.
Professor Yusra Mouzughi, Revost at the University of Birmingham Dubai, said: “Our work in Dubai is more than repeating that the future of global education – it is about the future of education in the region defined by the desire to aspire and agree.
“We prepare students not only for the jobs of tomorrow, but for the challenges that do not exist.”
At the University of Wollongong in Dubai (Uowd), AI Innovation reaches beyond the classroom. The university has received three Dubai RDI grants for AI projects such as Cha ChatV, which uses generative ai to improve the electronic environment. Students participate in computer science, to get industrial spray from PWC Academy Middle East and Andersen ae.
Prof. May El Barachi, head of the School of Computer Science, UOWD, said: “AI reuses education, empowering AI experience as AI as auding avening toosystems.”
Empowering the future
At Abu Dhabi University (adu), based in the Dubai Knowledge Park, AI tools are being incorporated into the entire student journey – from academic admissions.
Its powerful AI testing system
Dr. Hamad Odhabi, Vice Chancellor of AI and Operations at Adu, said: “AI now works seamlessly after moving processes, with learning desires, and reducing dependence on pants intervention.”
Curtin University Dubai is responding to the region’s need for digital skills with its Masters of AI and Master of Cybersecurity Programs. Its expanding campus includes an upcoming technology center, a 3D Design Studio, and a 3,600 sq.ft. Thecture Theater dedicated to advanced learning in the medium.

Higher Education
Meanwhile, the University of Manchester-Dubai, ranked 35th in the QS World University Ranking 2026, has included AI in its higher education meetings. Its data and AI for leadership courses and the Mentorme program Use AI Mater Matchip to improve learning outcomes.
Rande Besiso, founding director of the Middle East at the University of Manchester-Dubai, said: “MBA students position themselves in the changing economy of AI and data, and we aim to give our students an edge in the development of human skills.”
