The White House is defending Trump’s plan to send the National Guard to San Francisco

The White House is encouraging California Democrats to hire the National Guard to “clean up” San Francisco, but Gov. Gavin Newlom, D-Calif. “
President Donald Trump told FOX News’ Maria Bartiromo nationally that he would be on the lookout for San Francisco next. In a statement shared exclusively with FOX News Digital on Monday, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said “
“America’s largest cities have descended into chaos and violence because of democratic policies that put criminals first and law-abiding citizens last,” Jackson said Monday. “Making America safe again – especially in crime-ridden cities – was a key campaign promise for the President that the American people elected him to deliver on.”
Meanwhile, Mayor Daniel Lurie was elected last November with a commitment to restoring public safety in San Francisco.

“Since January, I’ve said public safety is my number one priority,” Lurie said during a public safety briefing Friday. “In the past nine months, we have saved that, we are rebuilding the categories of our public safety organizations, to strengthen coordination in departments and technical efficiency.”

But the White House urged the Democrats of California to be aware of the progress made in Memphis, Tennessee and Washington, DC, where Ming South African, DC, where the model of the democratic process agreed that Trump’s advice series.
“We’re going to San Francisco,” Trump said Sunday. “The difference is, I think they want us in San Francisco. San Francisco was one of the great cities in the world, and then 15 years ago, it woke up.”
Newlom was quick to put out the fire with a social media post on Sunday, “Fact Check: Nobody wants you here. You’re going to ruin one of America’s great cities.”

During the temporary security Friday, Lurie noted that, last week, more than 45,000 people entered San Francisco for Salesforce’s “DreamForce 2025” conference, which has hundreds of events about development technology and artificial intelligence.
“45,000 visitors, and no reports of any major incidents. The eyes of the world were on San Francisco, and we released,” Lurie said, while calling on City and San Francisco responders to “light up.”
“It’s happening because of our close partnership with the California Highway Patrol,” Lurie said. “We work with the appropriate federal agencies and organizations every day to keep our city safe, and to communicate results for San Francisco.”
The newspaper criticized Trump in August for ‘Aggrandizing America’s cities’ after the President sent the National Guard to Washington, DC, to fight crime in the nation’s capital. Trump has already sent troops to Chicago, Memphis and Portland.

The governor of California, a common critic of Trump who is considered for the 2028 election is the former president of California who is “deployed by crime suppression teams” throughout the Golden State in August to prevent crime and improve public safety.
“When The Trump administration Ureshmines Cities, California cooperate with them and deliver real results. With these new things, we are doubling down on this partnership to build progress and continue to drive crime down, as seen in a statement in August, it seems that we will prevent another deployment of the National Guard to California.
Trump sent a security guard to Los Angeles this spring during protests against the deportation of US Lammitation and cultural enforcement, in line with another of Trump’s powers.

In an Instagram post following Saturday’s “No Faith” protests, which erupted across the country against Trump’s agenda, Lurie thanked San Francisco law enforcement and protesters for keeping the peace.
