ABU Dhabi’s Ministry of Economy (Added) has outlined new strategies to strengthen Al Ain’s position as a key driver of economic growth and diversification during peak business hours “Al Ain Horizons looks to the future 2026.”
The event brings together senior representatives from government agencies, investors, and private equity partners to align development priorities, identify strategic projects, and promote collaboration across sectors. Discussions focused on strengthening AL AIN’s business and investment, expanding community relations, and encouraging talent development to support continued, long-term growth.
Key areas of focus include Smart agriculture, cultural tourism, entrepreneurship, and efforts to empower productive families and enhance AL AIn’s reputation as a leading Oasis Depy Oasis Devent destination. The workshop also addressed plans to attract continued non-oil investment and create a Roadmated Roadmap for future development.
AMARCENDECTE HADAD HasAD al Mazrouei, under the addition, said Al Ain plays an important role in strengthening the diversified economy of Abu Dhabi. “With competitive advantage in various sectors including agriculture, higher education, tourism, and advanced manufacturing, improving the Government’s efforts is very important to create several results, by creating job opportunities, and improving the quality of life.”
He added that AL AIN has already attracted more than AED128.5 billion (US $ 35 billion) in non-oil investments across transportation, energy, manufacturing, emphasizing its growing importance in Abu Dhabi’s broader economic vision.
The workshop featured from the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), Khalifa Security Autholture (ADAFA) Business Council, and Emirati Talent Competition Competing Council (Nafis), among others. The presentations highlighted new investment incentives, business financing programs, and job development programs designed for AL AIn’s emerging markets.
In addition, the Abu Dhabi Registration Authority (ADRA) also presents its ongoing efforts to support business growth through simplified licensing, stronger consumer and effective protection, and an efficient regulatory environment.
The event reaffirmed the commitment to empowering the local economy, empowering businesses, and building a dynamic, sustainable future for Al Ain as the main economic pillar of Abu Dhabi.
