The 2025 edition of Vimm v kicked off with Enfeal Victory Victory by No. 10 BUSO on Tuesday after the team came back from less than two points nationally before Count Conffer of the National at UConn and Florida took the court at Madison Square Garden.
During Halfy of the Game, however, four fan bases came together to watch Jim Valvano’s famous speech.
The laughter and connection in the crowd was as if the fans were watching it for the first time, but it showed that the speech was truly magical.

That night, Valvano’s “v” VACRION “was born, since then, it has raised more than $250 million for cancer research.
“This job is the absolute honor of my life,” Fathc’s cancer and cancer research foundation’s Susanna Greer, told FOX Business on Tuesday night’s Jimmy V Classic.
Greer joined the V Foundation for Cancer Research in 2022 after running his own cancer research lab and working in the American Cancer Society. After completing his fellowship at the University of North Carolina, he knew a lot about the former NC State Head Care coach. Greer never met Valvano, but when he approached the project, he started digging.
“I wanted to understand what drove him, how you can go through this devastating disease to use your platform to start a foundation,” Greele said. “I’m just trying to carry on his legacy as much as I can.”
He does that by watching Valvano’s speech every Monday.
Grayer also said he sees a “direct connection” between sports and his role in science.

“Sports is about cooperation, it’s not like one person is more important than any other person in your team. And you think about what we can work on. The team. Science and sports have a good connection, and I enjoyed that.”
Accompanying Jimmy V Liviki is also the release of 30 of 30 from Stuart Scott, the beautifully decorated “Boo Yah.” Scott died in 2015 of cancer, months after receiving the Jimmy v award for endurance in Espor. The director of the documentary, Andre Gloines, will attend the V Gala on Wednesday night for the third year in a row and saw some “similarities in other speeches because both of their famous speeches were seen as their speeches.
“A lot of people often didn’t see that we were showing real grit and inspiration to excel at that stage in the first place,” he told FOX Business.
But petting while watching movies, fans will laugh, think, and cry – which is exactly what Valvano says is “a heck of a day.”

“Fans can expect to be inspired and can expect to see what kind of resilience comes from someone who breaks barriers,” said the aid.
The ultimate goal of the V Foundation for Cancer Research, of course, is to find a cure. To do that, however, Greer said everyone with a foundation should discover Valvano’s key motto.
“We will not stop.”
