Jeff Bezos is coming out.
The 61-year-old Amazon founder is investing $6.2 billion in a new AI company called Project Prometheus, and will serve as its first CO-CEO, according to the New York Times.
The company, which the New York Times has called one of the first time-lapses in the world, will focus on building AI to help work in the engineering and manufacturing sectors across the industry.
Bezos founder and CO-PEO at Venture is pulticist and chemist vik bajaj. He is best known for his work at Google X, the company’s moonhot factory working on “Great new technology.” The lab after the early funding of companies supported by Giantmo such as Robotaxi giant waymo and Bajaj based on the CEO of the AI Startup Incebator Forsete Labs of times, who allegedly left to focus on the new BEBURE with bezos.
Besides Bajaj and Bezos, Project Prometheus has about 100 employees, including veterans from Opena and Meta, according to the New York Times.
Not much is known about Project Prometheus. The company aims to develop AI tools for use in industries such as aerospace and automotive, but there are no details yet on what it will look like, or where the work will begin.

Although his most recent focus is on the latest in the space, Bezos has emphasized the ai hype. At the beginning of last year, multibillionaires invested millions of dollars to be frustrated, the AI company after being dominated by Google’s engine after being dominated by Google’s engine.
At a conference last month, Nezos talked about his idea of sending data centers into space, and was called the wisdom of planting an “industrial bubble” that is not a bad thing, maybe “good.”
Bezos’ latest AI World speech comes at a time when the AI industry is showing renewed interest in virtual AI. Industry Titan Nvidia Put Physical AI Front and Center at the recent GTC conference in Washington, DC, last month. Meanwhile, AI’s top AI scientist is reportedly quitting soon to build his own AI startup that will focus on “world models” instead of big language models. World models form the basis of visual AI.
This isn’t Bezos’ own AI debut, either. Chief Tech Officer at AI Robotic Start Phristian intelligence late last year.
The condition for this recent push towards AI in industry based llms in the recent past is the growing fear of AI capabilities being disabled. Those closures have never been more openly discussed than after Opelai-5’s announcement of Open-5 earlier this year to much fanfare. With investment in AI continuing to skyrocket, the industry could look to virtual ai for a much-needed reinvention of the hype.
