Google presents a stunning animation of the milestone to celebrate America’s 250th birthday

As the United States approaches its 250th birthday, Google Search marks a milestone for the country’s digital wonder.
On Monday, the tech giant launched a special animation that appears when users search for words related to the country’s semiquincentennial, starting a year-long digital charge before July 4, 2026.
“You’ll see a special animation when you search for words related to the anniversary,” said Google’s press release. “Try searching for ‘United States Semiquincentennial’ or ‘America’s 250th’ on your desktop or mobile device and watch the page light up.”

“This digital kick-off, which won’t be seen until after July 4, 2026, is just a spark. Throughout the year, we’re rolling out other programs designed to empower Americans as we celebrate our 250th anniversary,” the statement continues, “from bringing America’s natural beauty and shared values to life to explorers across the country by advancing the economic capabilities of AI. The future.”

Google did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776, when the leaders of the 13 American colonies formally separated from the British Empire, declaring that “all men are created equal” and marking the birth of the United States.

The White House has dubbed the semiquincentennial celebration “Freedom 250,” US Ambassador to the Legislative Assembly Monica Crowley recently previewed with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo.
“The president [Donald] Trump has promised the American people the most historic and exciting American celebration in the history of our nation, and he will deliver it,” said Crowley. “We are working in partnership with Freedom 250, which will serve as an exponent of the president’s vision, and to make the national platform compatible, connect and make our national, regional and local efforts to celebrate outside of our national, regional and local efforts.”

“We are planning, through Freedom 250, a year-long program to celebrate American patriotism and pride, our incredible history … and the bright future ahead of us, and, indeed, America’s uniqueness,” he continued.
Crowley said the year-long Freedom 250 celebration will showcase the nation’s spirit with major patriotic events — from national pageants and student pageants to July 4 parades — that honor America’s history, pride and resilience.
