Neo-Nazi Group Strengthens US Operations As FBI Pulls Back Investigation

One of the great things about having a podcaster targeting the FBI is that threats to America’s security are not taken seriously when they come from the far right. Despite numerous studies showing that far-right extremists pose one of the greatest threats to American society, the Department of Justice and the FBI have downplayed the issue to focus on Antifa, which isn’t even a real organization. The FBI’s lack of awareness of right-wing extremists has led to the Neo-Nazi terrorist group strengthening its operations in America.

I should like to live under a “law and order” presidency.

According to the Guardian, internet work revealed that the Neo-Nazi terrorist group Base is not only active, but considers America as its operational headquarters. A video from June shows five masked, armed men in the Appalachian Mountains standing in front of a Base flag making a Nazi trophy. A recent video from November shows men firing rifles and pistols at the same mountains.

The Base is headed by Rinaldo Nazzaro, a former Pentagon contractor who is now a Russian asset. The organization was previously the target of an FBI raid that led to several arrests. Under the Trump administration, resources to fight Base and other extremist groups have been redirected. The result has been that the foundation is gradually intensifying recruitment efforts.

“Our long-term goal is to achieve something similar to what al-Qaida and IS achieved in Syria,” Nazzaro was heard saying in an audio recording obtained by the Guardian. “Build an organized, armed insurgency to take over and hold the land. And set up a white man’s country that we control and govern.”

Nazzaro adds, “only two traditionally white nations have all these necessary requirements … Ukraine and the United States.”

Steven Rai, an analyst at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), which monitors Base’s online activities, expressed shock when describing the apparent increase in Base’s regional activities.

“Nazzaro’s latest statements show a worrying escalation of what has been going on for the past few months,” Rai said, adding that Nazzaro had previously said Ukraine would be the only country he would allow attacks on, a position that appears to be changing.

“However, recently, he [Nazzaro] he has clearly expanded this authorization of violence in other contexts, including the United States, where he has called for the creation of so-called ‘swift teams’ aimed at destabilizing the public and weakening government authority through attacks on critical infrastructure.”

A post on Russian social media reveals that the Base is clearly calling for its American cells to “attack critical infrastructure and facilities,” which could “contribute to the country’s political disintegration in the long run if the attacks continue.”

You’d think that publicizing terrorist threats against America would spur the FBI into action, right? It’s wrong. FBI Director Kash Patel has downplayed the threat of violence against the right. Sources inside the FBI told the Guardian that Patel has turned down statistics that show he is the most dangerous terrorist threat facing the American public as part of an “awakening” agenda.

Considering that the DOJ recently removed studies showing the threat of violence from afar, it seems it will take a horrific act of violence to spur them into action. And even then, they will probably do so grudgingly.

I love it here.
