Nicki Minaj Goes Radio Silent After Joking JD Vance Is A ‘Murderer’ To Widow Erika Kirk, VP Continues Deep Praise For Onika

- Minaj accidentally calls Vance a ‘murderer’ at the TPUSA event.
- Vance responds by acknowledging Minaj’s message of unity, no bad blood.
- Minaj praises Trump, says she is ‘tired of being pushed around’.
JD Vance finally responded after Nicki Minaj made an awkward flub on stage at the TPUSA conference over the weekend — accidentally calling her a “murderer” — and instead of firing back, the vice president chose to praise his new MAGA partner.
On Monday morning, Vance took to X and began by referencing Minaj’s words about empowering young Black girls without diminishing blonde girls, showing that he understands her broader point is about unity.
He went on to reflect on how modern politics has given rise to the concept of “zero sum”, accusing influential powers of benefiting from sowing division. Vance even tagged Minaj directly, noting that she rejects that line of thinking – making it clear there’s no bad blood between the two.
She wrote: “Nicki Minaj said something at Amfest that was really profound. I’m paraphrasing, but she said, “just because I want little black girls to think they’re beautiful doesn’t mean I need to put down little girls with red hair and blue eyes,” she wrote. This was because the people who think they rule the world are confusing us.
@NICKIMINAJ rejects that. We all have to.”
Minaj appeared at the Phoenix convention on Sunday, December 21, closing the event alongside Erika Kirk. The two entered the stage holding hands before sitting down to discuss politics, religion and more.
The 43-year-old rapper raised eyebrows when he expressed his admiration for President Donald Trump and his administration. Addressing the audience, he said, “Dear young men, you have good examples, like our handsome, quick-witted president. And you have good examples like the murderer, JD Vance, our vice president.”
Soon, Minaj seemed to realize her mistake. He fainted, was silent for a while, and covered his mouth with his hand, showing panic.
Erika, 37, handled the moment with ease, assuring Minaj, “Trust me, there’s nothing new under the sun that I haven’t heard.”
After taking a break, Minaj turned emotional and told him, “I love you.”
Erika responded warmly, adding, “You have to laugh about it. Really, I get called everything. You know what? God is so good.”
Erika became CEO of Turning Point USA following the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed at a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University on September 10. He was 31 years old.
For some, Minaj’s presence at the conservative rally came as a surprise, but the singer has been outspoken about her support for Trump and his administration in recent months.
“I respect and appreciate our president a lot,” he told Erika. “I don’t know if he knows this, but he has given hope to many people.”
Explaining why she decided to support Trump, Minaj said she “just got tired of being pushed around.”
“I have something inside of me that is stronger than what’s there. So when you’ve had enough, you realize, ‘Wait a minute, why do I care about these people and what they think? They don’t even know who they are. So I’m not going to back down. I’m not going to back down again,'” he continued.
