The Toronto Blue Days beat the Los Angeles Dodgers at home on Tuesday night to even the World Series in two games.
But in some corners of the social media, the best comment would not be to make Jay’s Underdog Win but to Sydney Sweeney’s involvement in the FOX broadcast.
Sydney was in the hands of the game – alongside boxer Christy Martin, who also appears in the next part – and also recorded part of the Intro part which has not sat well with some viewers.
Sydney Sweeney World Segment Falls
If you are a sports fan, you are familiar with these parts before the big games:
Some celebrities, usually with two teams (and it’s not hard to find celebs with tires in LA!), You will find viewers who say, like half of the people who watch just watch the rent money on Fandoel.
Sydney has a new sports movie to promote (that’s why so many cropped shots were sitting around Christy), so she must have seemed natural.
Unfortunately, some of the biggest baseball fans disagree.

Okay, a little corny, but these things usually are. Which is why it’s so weird that viewers are reacting by basically hurling rotten produce at their screens:

“Why is Sydney Sweeney narrating the World Series Game 4 Intro?” One person wrote in X, according to page six.
“Sydney Sweeney Ad for World Series? Who invited you?” asked another.
“Why is TF Sydney Sweeney doing the World Series intro? That was pure a$$ voice,” a third contributed.
“Sydney Sweeney Moologue to open game 4 of the world series in Los Angeles, that’s definitely a choice,” the fourth entered.
You get the idea. Sydney’s Intro was indeed a grand slam – but as few critics offered details, it’s unclear exactly what the problem was.
And at the end of the day, hopefully we can agree that if you’re more annoyed by Sydney than excited about hosting Shohei Ohtani’s World Series draw, you might be watching baseball for the wrong reasons.
