2025 streaming awards bring big wins and viral moments. Showspeed took home the biggest honor of the night, this year’s education, while Kai Cenat managed by four wins from his five starts. Stream Award’s Battle Backlash after playing a joke comparing Kai Cenat to DEdy

The removal of the Indian love was not the only controversy of the night. While walking through the audience, Strund and Twitch host Fastfan stopped at Kai Cenat’s table and made a joke that quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Fanfan looked at the Senate and said he “It broke the record for asking for the most expensive haircut and the least academic university.” Then he added, “Congratulations on your new 50 percent docs. That’s you, right?” Commentary viewers interpret it as comparing cenat to DEDY, lighting back to back.

Cenat’s reaction came across as awkward, and his friend Tylil James grabbed the mic, answering: “If you’re going to be on the mic doing comedy, at least let it be funny. Have a good night.”

Without a bad moment, Cenat was walking away with four major awards: the best broadcast of the Marathon, the best event, the best broadcast, and the best to chat for a while. The only award he lost was Streamer of the Year, which went to Isshowspeed.
