The UAE reaffirms its global status with the fifth largest delegation in Davos

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority leads a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Davod for the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (January 19-23).
The UAE’s is the fifth largest delegation in the Council and reflects the country’s continued focus on economic priorities and future-oriented sectors and improved collaboration between the government and the private sector. The team includes more than 100 ministers, senior government officials and leaders of large private companies.
The world forum serves as an annual platform to promote international cooperation in all key areas of development, and the presence of the UAE reflects its role as an important global partner, actively building international cooperation structures and supporting the transition to inclusive, long-term sustainable development.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, commented: “The UAE’s participation in the World Economic Forum Davos 2026 reflects its vision to strengthen the UAE’s active presence and constructive contribution in all international forums, strengthen international cooperation, and deepen effective regional and global relations.”
“This dialogue supports the achievement of national development goals and contributes to international efforts to address shared challenges and advance inclusive and sustainable development.”
Al Gergawi noted that the UAE remains committed to strengthening constructive international cooperation, sharing its expertise in areas where it has established global leadership, and benefiting from international best practices through joint ventures.
He affirmed that the UAE’s participation in Davos 2026 represents an important opportunity to build and strengthen effective partnerships, develop constructive dialogue, and expand international cooperation with governments, international institutions, large companies, and the private sector.
UAE wins global dialogue at WEF
The theme of the World Economic Forum 2026, ‘The Spirit of Dialogue’, is closely aligned with the UAE’s long-standing commitment to dialogue as the foundation of international relations, international cooperation, and social cohesion. The UAE’s participation in the Forum highlights its emphasis on promoting an inclusive and forward-looking dialogue that supports joint action, strengthens cooperation, and addresses shared global challenges.
The UAE participates in several key initiatives at the WEF that address building confidence in investment, improving legal frameworks, strengthening global trade, and improving economic governance.
It also contributes to discussions about artificial intelligence, digital government, and smart governance, highlighting its leadership in harnessing advanced technology to create more efficient governments and competitive economies. The UAE experience shows how AI can act as a growing engine for development and investment, supporting improved quality of life, data-driven decision-making, and improved government performance.
At Davos 2026, the UAE will also place greater emphasis on humanitarian and global issues closely linked to social stability and sustainable development, including food security, health, water, and humanitarian action.
‘Impossible is impossible’
The UAE Pavilion, themed ‘Impossible is Impossible’ for the fourth consecutive year, highlights the country’s role in advancing energy flexibility, sustainability, and climate finance while safeguarding economic growth and energy security. It also reflects the diversity and strength of the national economy in all sectors including energy, trade, finance, industry, technology, and the digital economy.
The Pavilion hosts a series of sessions, meetings, and media interviews featuring senior government officials, business leaders, and international experts. This collaboration provides opportunities to showcase UAE success stories, exchange technology, build partnerships, and test new solutions.
The Pavilion’s design and content reflect the UAE’s national identity and its forward-looking approach to addressing global issues.
