Conan O’Brien Stopped Guests From Calling 911 During Rob Reiner-Nick Reiner Fight: …

Study Time: 3 minutes

The night before Rob and Michele Reiner were found stabbed to death in their home, the couple attended a holiday party hosted by Conan O’Brien.

The Reiners were joined by their troubled son, Nick Reiner, 32, who has been charged with murder.

Insiders previously revealed that Nick and Rob had a “huge argument” at the party, and now it appears that O’Brien has told her other guests not to call the police.

O’Brien “walked in” when guests planned to call 911, the insider claims

“Father and son had an argument, it got so bad that someone made a noise and wanted to call the police to report them,” a source familiar with the event told the newspaper. Daily Mail on Friday.

“But Conan stepped in and said, ‘It’s my house, my team, I’m not calling the police.’ He talked them into calling the police.”

Another witness echoed that, explaining that the argument between Rob and Nick was so intense that many guests believed police intervention was necessary.

“When he was hitting the fan, someone said we should call the police,” said the second source, adding:

“The conversation was about putting this child in a mental health facility.”

A second source said they sympathized with both the concerns from other guests and O’Brien’s reluctance to call 911.

“It makes sense; who wants the police to be seen making a scene?” the insider said, adding:

But the argument between Rob and Nick was intense.

The news comes after reports that Nick was behaving inappropriately and harassing guests at the event.

“Nick was scaring everyone, going crazy, asking people if they were famous,” one guest recalled.

O’Brien was ‘wracked with guilt’ after witnessing the confrontation between Nick and Rob Reiner, the source said.

Various sources previously told ShuterScoop’s Rob Shuter that Conan was “full of guilt” after hearing about Rob and Michele’s murder.

He keeps thinking, ‘What if I had intervened? What if I had pulled Rob aside or shut him up? said one insider. “You feel like maybe you could have changed the way things happened.”

“Conan plays every detail in his mind,” said a second source. “He feels guilty and keeps wondering if there was something he did—or didn’t do—that could have made a difference.”

Although no one would have thought that Rob and Michele would be brutally murdered, the couple’s fight with their young son was reportedly a common occurrence in their group of friends.

“I’m scared [Nick]. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I’m scared for my son. I think my own son would hurt me,” an unidentified celebrity friend recently recalled Rob saying, according to Page Six.

We will have more updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
