The Federal Reserve this week cut interest rates by 25 basis points for the third straight meeting, lowering the benchmark Federal to grain rate of 3.5% to 3.75%.
The interest rate cut came amid concerns about a weak labor market despite inflation remaining stubbornly above the Fed’s 2% target.
Policymakers created and released their own summary of economic forecasts, known as the “Dot Plot,” which secured a single interest rate of 20 basis points.
