Ukraine and its European allies were accused by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday of getting interest in peace efforts after five hours of bullets with us in the Kremlin did not produce.
The Russian leader “must stop the bluster and the bloodshed and be ready to come to the table and sponsor lasting peace,” the UK’s permanent foreign secretary said. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Symbiha urged Putin to waste the world’s time. “
The words show the high tension and the open gulf that remains between Russia on the one hand and Ukraine and its Allies that will end when the war ends when the neighbor is attacked almost four years ago.
The day before, Putin blamed the Europeans for destroying US-led peace efforts – he warned that, if provoked, Russia would be ready for war with Europe.
Since the invasion by 2022, European governments, along with the US, have spent billions of dollars to support the KYIV financially and militarily. Nevertheless, under President Donald Trump, however, the US has readied its support – and instead ended the war.
Ahead of a meeting to discuss America’s bid for peace in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed the controversial European proposals as ‘unacceptable’ and said his country was ready for war if Europe wanted one.
Putin’s foreign affairs adviser, Yuri USHAKOV, said Tuesday’s talks in the Kremlin between Putin and Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son Steve Witkoff and Trump’s Jared Kushner were “healthy” but did not release details.
Where the peace talks go from here depends a lot on whether the Trump administration manages to increase the pressure on Russia or Ukraine to make an agreement.
It is not clear where the peace talks have gone now
The US peace proposal that became public last month was widely criticized in Moscow because it offered some of the Kremlin’s key points that Kisi and the West have rejected.
Many European leaders worry that if Russia gets what it wants in Ukraine, it will be free to threaten their countries, with a campaign against widespread disintegration.
Putin met Tuesday in Moscow with Trump’s Envofy Steve Witkoff and Son-to’om Jared Kushner. The Russian and American sides were renewed not to disclose this matter of talks, but at least one problematic obstacle of other places – the fate of the four regions of Ukraine that Russia is holding and occupying and claiming to be their own – remains.
After the talks, Ushakov told reporters that “so far, a compromise has not been found” in the field issue, without which, he said, the Kremlin sees “a solution to the crisis.”
Ukraine has issued a decision to give up territory that was captured by Russia.

Asked whether peace was close or passing after these talks, Ushakov said: “Not again, that’s right.”
“But there is still a lot of work to be done, in Washington and in Moscow,” he said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitrin Peskov said it was “incorrect” to say that Putin had rejected the US peace plan. He declined to comment further on the remarks.
“I won’t do anything,” she said. “It is understood that quietly these negotiations are carried out, they will be more productive.”
Europeans increase aid to Ukraine
Foreign ministers from European countries NATO, meeting in Brussels on Wednesday, showed little patience with Moscow.
“What we see is that Putin has not changed any course. He is aggressively focusing on the battlefield,” said the Estonian Foreign Minister. “It’s clear that he doesn’t want any kind of peace.”
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen struck a similar note. “Until now, we have not seen any additions from the side of the aggressor, which is Russia, and I think the best measure to build confidence would be to start with a full suspension,” he told reporters.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, speaking from Brussels on Tuesday about Ukraine and the status of peace talks, said at this time there is no ‘consensus’ among all Alliemental Join Ukraine that includes military relations.
NATO Secretary Mark Rutte said that Ukraine’s allies will continue to send military aid to ensure pressure is maintained on Moscow.
“The peace talks are continuing. That’s good,” Rutte said.
“But at the same time, we have to confirm what is happening and we are not sure when it will end, that Ukraine is in a very strong position to fight the Russians,” he said.
