Wendy’s is launching a new Biggie Deals value menu nationwide to compete with competitors

Wendy’s has improved its value menu offerings, joining competitors who have developed their affordable bundles and promotions to drive traffic among budget-conscious shoppers.

The fast-food chain said its revamped value menu, dubbed “Biggie’s Deals,” introduces new customization options across three price points: $4, $6 and $8. Customers can choose from $4 Bites Bites, $6 Biggie Bag and $8 Biggie Bundle at participating locations nationwide.

Wendy’s has introduced similar food price deals in the past, making this the latest iteration of its ongoing value strategy.

MCDONALD’S RETURNS PRICE-ADDED FOOD TO ATTRACT BUDGET CUSTOMERS

“We know customers want choice and a meal option that’s just for them. That’s why we’re expanding Biggie Deals — to offer more ways to customize and enjoy great value,” Wendy’s Americas chief marketing officer Lindsay Radkoski said in a statement.

Deals are seen as a way for a company to better compete in a highly competitive, incentive-driven market.

In September, McDonald’s brought back its Extra Value Meals, offering customers eight meal bundles for breakfast, lunch and dinner, saving customers 15% more than if they bought the items separately.

Mark Wasilefsky, head of food and franchise finance at TD Bank, predicted that McDonald’s strategy to double down on its value proposition to renew traffic among its cost-conscious customers will force its top competitors to follow suit with their discounts, especially in the morning.

MCDONALD’S REDUCES COMBO FOOD PRICES TO WIN RETURN CUSTOMERS ON A BUDGET

“The restaurant industry is responding to what is one of the lowest levels of consumer sentiment in the last 50 years, and in these times, consumers want to feel like they’re getting the best value for their money,” Wasilefsky told FOX Business.

In light of McDonald’s recent pricing, “many high-end restaurants are working hard with their existing menus and ingredients and their back office finance teams to find creative, satisfying and great offerings at competitive prices for both existing customers and driving new customers,” Wasilefsky said.

This fast growing chain says ‘NO discounts’ – AND IT PAYS.

For example, shortly after McDonald’s announced that it would be bringing back Value Added Meals for the first time since 2019, IHOP announced that it was introducing an everyday value menu as part of its core offerings.
